The Glo diaphragm is a genuine Ameda replacement part for your Ameda Glo wearable pump. It’s the soft silicone piece that creates the closed system.
What the Glo diaphragm does
The diaphragm sits between your milk and the pump motor. It keeps milk away from the motor and helps the pump create suction. Without a good seal, the pump can’t work at its best.
When to replace it
Diaphragms stretch and wear with regular use. You may notice weaker suction, or the diaphragm may look stretched or torn. Replacing it usually brings suction back to normal. How often you need a new one depends on how much you pump.
Keep a spare
A spare diaphragm means you’re never caught short, especially at work. Keep one in your pump bag with a pair of spare Glo valves.
Cleaning
Wash the diaphragm in warm soapy water after each use. Rinse well and let it air dry. Ameda CleanEase steam bags make sanitising quick. You can read more about the pump on the Ameda Glo page.
