Ameda Skin to Skin Nipple Shield, Thin Silicone 16mm / 20mm / 24mm

The Ameda nipple shield is a thin silicone cover worn over the nipple during breastfeeding. Its special cut out keeps more of your skin in contact with your baby.
When an Ameda nipple shield can help
Your lactation consultant may suggest a nipple shield to help your baby latch. We recommend using one with support from a SACLC or lactation consultant. They can help you choose the right size and plan when to stop using it.
Cut out for skin to skin contact
The shield has a cut out section where baby’s chin and nose rest. This keeps more of your skin in contact with your baby while they feed.
Soft, thin silicone
Ultra thin, flexible silicone feels soft for your baby. The firmer centre holds its shape, helping your baby draw onto the breast.
Choosing a size
The shield comes in 16 mm, 20 mm and 24 mm. The right size depends on your nipple and your baby’s mouth. If you’re unsure which size you need, contact us and we’ll help.
Putting it on
Wet the shield with a little warm water so it holds better. Turn the edges back slightly, centre the shield over your nipple, then smooth the edges onto your breast. Your lactation consultant can show you how.
Easy to clean
BPA free and DEHP free. Wash after each feed and reuse, or put it in the dishwasher. Keep it in its case between uses.
